Garage door repair questions
Short answers, by topic. Can’t find yours? Call (925) 351-0800, 7 days, 7 AM to 9 PM.
Prices
How much does garage door repair cost in Pleasanton?
A broken spring starts at $249, opener repair at $199, and cable or off-track repair at $219. A tune-up starts at $149. A second spring, extra parts or an extra-heavy door can raise the price. You’ll know the exact price at the door, before work begins.
Why is it a starting price?
Because the same job takes different parts on different doors. A two-car wood door needs bigger springs than a single-car steel one. We see your door first, and you’ll know the exact price before work begins.
Should I repair my old opener or buy a new one?
Opener repair starts at $199 and a new opener, installed, at $695. If an older opener needs a new circuit board or motor, a new one is often the better buy. At the door you hear both prices and pick.
Booking
Can you come out today?
If there’s an opening today, yes. Call (925) 351-0800 and we’ll tell you the soonest time we can be there. We’re open 7 days, 7 AM to 9 PM. You can also book online and pick an open window.
How does online booking work?
Tap Book online, add your address, say what’s wrong and pick a time window. Before we drive over, we confirm that window by phone or email. We price the job when we arrive. You say yes, then we start.
How do I move or cancel a visit?
Call (925) 351-0800 before your time window starts, and we’ll move the visit or cancel it.
Where is your office?
In Pleasanton, CA. We come to your home for every job.
Safety
Can I open the door by hand to get my car out?
Not if a spring is broken. A split coil over the door, or a spring hanging loose, means one snapped: leave the door closed and call us. If the springs and cables look whole and the door is fully closed, you can pull the red release cord and open the door by hand.
Why does my garage door reverse on the way down?
Usually it’s the two safety sensors near the floor. Wipe both lenses, move anything sitting between them, and check that each sensor’s small light is on. If the door still reverses, call (925) 351-0800.
Areas
Which towns do you cover?
All of Pleasanton, plus Dublin, San Ramon, Livermore, Sunol, Camino Tassajara, Blackhawk and Castro Valley. If you live just outside them, call (925) 351-0800 and ask.
Doors and openers
Which garage doors and openers do you work on?
Residential sectional doors, the kind that roll up overhead in panels, and the openers that run them, from all the common brands. That includes chain, belt and screw-drive openers. When you call, read us the brand and model off the opener’s label.
Should I replace both springs?
If your door has two, we’ll suggest it. Both went in together and have carried the door through every cycle since, so the second one is near the end too. It’s your call. You get a price for one spring and a price for both before we start.
Do your trucks carry parts?
Yes, springs and openers. When the part your door needs is on board, the repair or install happens on the same visit. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you at the door.
